Party anxiety

I am sure at some point everybody has experienced this at least once, for others it's every time. Fear, anxiety for an up and coming event can be very real, we experience this in our bodies and try very hard to interpret this. It can make us very uncomfortable indeed and can lead us to try to numb the sensation. It might surprise you that the physical sensations and accompanying emotions for many of us are very normal (in no way comfortable!) but normal and can activate our flight and fight system in our bodies. Yep you may or may not have heard of this but go look it up if you haven't. If you can understand that this is a physical embodied truth and completely out of our control you have a choice to be curious about what you, can actually do instead of numbing yourself and avoiding the event you actual want to go too.
Go check out the noticeboard and start with "compassion?" go find someone trained to talk about what's going on for you and be committed to learning a new awareness of your self protection system and when its over activated, then be open to finding calming ways to de-escolate your responses so that you can live the life you want.
